VETERAN´S Appreciation Dinner Dance

JROTC helps to plan multiple events within the community. One of the main events that JROTC plans is the annual Veterans Appreciations Day Dance. The Veterans Dance is the main event that the JROTC cadets plan. The event is held in the Wilson High School Upper House gymnasium and the cadets help to set up enough chairs and tables to hold the over 1,000 veterans that show up. The process usually takes two days to set up, but the end result is always spectacular. During the main event, cadets greet the veterans outside and direct them down to the gym where the main festivities are held. Afterward, usually around 5:00 pm, there are speeches held to honor the oldest veteran in Berks County, and other amazing conversations throughout the night. Afterward, our veterans can enjoy dinner from one of the catering groups that JROTC works with, as well as a night full of dessert and dancing.
