We use Eureka as our math program. 2nd graders will explore addition and subtraction with bundling and unbundling tens, hundreds, and one thousand. Students will also learn measurement and estimation skills, 2D shapes, fractions, data and graphing, and multiplication readiness.
*Students are expected to have fluency with addition and subtraction facts within 20. Please practice these skills at home!
I assign optional math homework. There are different ways to practice math concepts at home.
Math Homework Packet: For each unit, I will send home a math packet that aligns to daily instruction and independent practice. The packet can stay in your child's binder. I do not check for completion.
Zearn: Digital and Interactive Online Math Practice (login information below and in your child's binder).
Math Fact Practice: Please practice using flash cards fluency with addition and subtraction facts within 20.
