Individual Counseling
I meet with children individually to support them through life changes or difficult situations, and to guide them toward positive change. At one time or another, any child may need a little extra support or guidance. Through individual guidance counseling, children are given a safe space to be open about their feelings and circumstances, the first steps toward healing and moving forward in a healthy way. Children are also taught skills to help them in their current situation - skills they can use throughout their lives. If you feel that your child could benefit from speaking with me, and maybe meeting with me regularly, please let me know. I'll do all I can to help.
Small Groups
Small groups are a great way for children learn from and support one another as they learn and practice new skills. We talk, role play, play games and do other fun activities. Throughout the year, I facilitate many groups, focusing on the needs presenting themselves at the time. Children generally enjoy being in small groups - they seem to appreciate the extra attention and grow through each other's support. Groups are offered throughout the year either by myself, our Community in Schools Counselor, and our liaison through the Caron Foundation. If you feel that your student could benefit from an opportunity to work on and learn new skills with their peers, don't hesitate to reach out!

Classroom Guidance Lessons
Classroom lessons are a great way to teach skills to all students. I utilize classroom lessons to assist students with character development, self-exploration, coping skills, career awareness, and academic skills.
