ABOUT OUR CLUB
Join the Wilson Cybersecurity Club and dive into the exciting world of digital defense! Our members explore essential cybersecurity concepts, work together in collaborative teams, and compete in prestigious national competitions such as AFA CyberPatriot, Lockheed Martin CodeQuest, and CyberQuest. This year, we're expanding our horizons by launching two new teams: the Streamworks - Robot Drone League Team and the AFA StellerXplorers - Aerospace Engineering Team, offering even more opportunities for hands-on learning and innovation. Whether you're a beginner or already tech-savvy, our club welcomes students of all skill levels who are eager to learn, grow, and take on real-world challenges in cybersecurity and beyond.
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 - 4:00 in room LH512

CyberStart America is a free, national online cybersecurity learning and competition program run by the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation (in partnership with SANS Institute), designed for U.S. high school students in grades 9–12. Participants with zero prior experience engage in a gamified experience—solving puzzles and challenges involving cryptography, networking, programming, digital forensics, and social engineering—to uncover their potential and build practical cyber skills. Those who advance through the early levels (typically Level 5 or about 20% progress) qualify for the National Cyber Scholarship Competition, where top students can win college scholarships and advanced training, with a pool often exceeding $2 million in total award.
Special congratulations to Ayush Kale for placing 1st place nationally (out of 236 students)! Eleven Wilson HS students were each awarded a prestigious $3,500 scholarship, recognizing their outstanding achievements and dedication to excellence.
