Rock Battalion Special Teams allow our Cadets to participate in extra-curricular activities during non-school hours! Practice Times vary with each team. Check with the Team Commander or Coach!
The JROTC Raider Competition is based on specific skills found in the US Army Rangers!
Leadership, Endurance, Strength & Teamwork are all tested at the 5 event JROTC Raider Meet:
1. 5k Team Run: Raiders run 5k over cross country terrain in the fastest time
2. Rope Bridge: Raiders cross a Rope Bridge over 60 feet in the fastest time
3. Raider Fitness Challenge: Raiders sprint an Obstacle Course in the fastest time
4. Sprint-Drag-Carry: Raiders drag 90lb and carry 30lb KBs 50m in the fastest time
5. Cross Country Rescue: 3k run carrying 100 pound litter & 3 x 30lb rucks in fastest time
Freshmen Cadets are encouraged to share this link, tryout and begin their own legacy!
UNIFORM
1. Raider Uniform will be OCPs (fatigues) and Raider T-Shirt at Raider Meets.
2. Raiders will meet the same Uniform & Grooming Requirements as the Dress Uniform.

6. The Sports Physical is required for JROTC and additional activities such as Sports or Band
PRACTICE:
1. Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri 0610-0730
2. Raiders may use the Pool Lockers & Showers next to the JROTC Building
3. Rock Battalion fundamental run is the 800m (2 laps around track). Thus if you're not sure what your best 800m time is then feel free to step on the track and run 2 laps!
AWARDS:
1. Raiders will be awarded the Black Raider Cord, Raider Arc and Raider Tab per award criteria
2. Raiders may also be awarded individual ribbons or medals at Raider Meets
COST:
1. $20.00 Raider Fee will cover the cost of the Raider T-Shirt and Raider Meet Registration fees

Drill Team will improve your attention to detail, your time management and your leadership skills! We are looking for Cadets willing to challenge themselves and be a part of the future leadership of THE Rock Battalion!
DRILL TEAM includes:
Color Guard: 4 Cadet Team that marches with Rifles & Flags
Armed Drill: Specific routine while marching with a rifle
Unarmed Drill: Specific routine while marching with no rifle
Rifle Exhibition: Design your OWN routine while carrying a rifle; NO Limits!
ADDITIONALLY:
1. ALL Cadets are eligible regardless of Rank, LET Level or Grade. You will improve HOW you wear the uniform, how you march and your own Command Voice. We will have LET 1s in leadership positions if needed.
2. Drill Team T-Shirt provided.
3. Drill Team excused from Uniform Days during Drill Season and wear OCPs.
4. Drill Team Cadets will be requested from their elective classes on Fridays to attend JROTC D&C Class pending quality GPAs.

DRILL TEAM PROMOTIONS
Drill Team Promotable Cadets have TWO Options:
Promote on Wednesday TBD in Class B Uniform during your class period. Only wear the uniform for class. OCPs or civilian attire remainder of day.
Promote on Saturday TBD in Class B Uniform @ Drill Meet. This will occur after the Drill Meet approximately 1200.

The JROTC Marksmanship Team is a competitive sport teaching Air Rifle Safety.
The Rockledge Marksmanship Team will be a maximum of 14 Cadets.
The Safety Exam Study Guide will be LET Unit 5 Lessons 2-7 (posted).
UNIFORM
1. Marksmanship Uniform will be OCPs, Marksmanship T-Shirt and dark sneakers or shoes.
2. Boots are not authorized.
2. Marksmanship Cadets will meet the same Uniform & Grooming Standards as the Dress Uniform.

The JCLC Spring Break Leadership Camp will be 13-17 March 2025 (5 days & 4 nights) at Boy Scout Camp La No Che near Ocala FL. This is the first weekend of Spring Break.
The Rockledge JCLC Team will be a maximum of 20 Cadets.
JCLC will challenge Cadets with training in Archery, Rappelling, Land Navigation, Drownproofing, Canoeing, Aerial Obstacle Course and other field events.
Cadets will sleep in tents and march to all locations.
UNIFORM
1. JCLC Uniform will be OCPs and Packing List to follow.
SELECTION Criteria:
1. GPA (in all classes)
2. Fitness Exam PASSING SCORE (800m run & 400m run)
3. Responsibility & Maturity
4. JCLC Cadets MUST be Registered for JROTC next year
DISQUALIFICATION Criteria:

4. Seniors will not attend (unless a graduated senior & military enlistee)
5. Prior Cadets will not attend (unless an event assistant)
