Major (Retired) Steve Celeste proudly served in the United States Army from 1987-2010.  He enlisted as a Military Police Soldier and served in the 82nd Airborne Division as an M60 gunner, Squad Leader and Pre-Ranger Instructor. He earned the rank of Sergeant and then commissioned through Officer Candidate School.

He served as a Platoon Leader in the 82nd Airborne Division. His travels included Panama, Puerto Rico, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Honduras and Korea.

His military training includes Airborne, Jumpmaster and Ranger School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in History from Campbell University and his Master’s of Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology.

He became the Senior Army Instructor of Rockledge High School in August 2023. Since that time the Raider Challenge Team grew to 3 Raider Teams, the Marksmanship Team grew to 12 Cadets and the JLAB Academic Team advanced to the Level 2 Regional Competition!

His teaching philosophy is to focus on Cadets' Overall GPAs and preparing Cadets for post-high school. Every Promotion, Leadership Position and Special Teams selection in Rock Battalion starts with a review of the Cadet's GPA!
