Students in 3rd grade begin getting letter grades on class assignments, tests, and report cards. This can be somewhat stressful at the beginning of the school year. Our class philosophy is we are "working on progress NOT perfection." As often as possible I will work with students to correct and return, review and retest, and fix and finish on Fridays. Typically, it will be noted in the Focus Gradebook that "more time is given."

Please activate your FOCUS account. I printed and gave letters to each family with their student code. Let me know if you need your pin number. If you have more than one child in Brevard Schools, you can connect all of their accounts for viewing. There is also a FOCUS app for your phone.

Areas include: Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Media & Technology, Physical Education, and Music. More information can be found on the Florida Department of Education C-Palms link above. This year the state has adopted new ELA standards called the B.E.S.T. I have attached them for your viewing below.
