SSYRA Book List Grades 3 to 5
The purpose of the SSYRA Program is for students to read books for pleasure that are on, above, and/or below their reading level. Please note that these books are chosen for students in grades 3 – 5 by the Florida Media Teacher SSYRA committee. Students are encouraged to read and take the Reading Counts quizzes. Students can earn SSYRA book tags for participating. Books can be checked out from our Media Center and hopefully we will get one for our classroom.

SSYRA Junior Books 2021-2022
The purpose of the SSYRA Program is for students to read books for pleasure that are on, above, and/or below their reading level. Please note that these books are chosen for students in grades Kindergarten - 2nd grade by the Florida Media Teacher SSYRA committee. These make great read aloud stories for home and discussion. I will be highlighting a few of them this year in class to teach Lifeskills and our school theme of "Don't Worry, Be Happy." One such example is "When Grandma Gives You a Lemon Tree" by Jamie LB Deenihan. A fun way to review the cliche, "when life gives you lemons....make lemonade." I will present our class with an indoor lemon tree to be a daily reminder for our class family.
