Notability
Notability is an app available to students in 7-12 grade. It can be downloaded from the manager app.
Once Notability is installed, a backup method should be configured to prevent loss of work if the app is every deleted. Please choose one or both of the following methods.
Google Drive Backup
Open notability
At the bottom left tap on the settings gear icon
Tap on Auto-Backup on the left
On the right choose Google Drive
When asked, sign in to your @shaler.us Google account
Tap okay at the bottom
You files will now be backed up to your Google Drive in the "Notability" folder
iCloud Backup
The school's managed Apple ID can be used for an Apple / iCloud username and password. This is the same as your school email account.
Open Settings, at the top left tap on "Sign in to your iPad"
Sign in with your school email and network account credentials. This will be something similar to:
Username: smithj26@shalerarea.or where smithj26 is replaced with your student's username.
Password: sasd.###### replace ###### with the students student ID number. This can be found in the parent or student portal.
Open the Notability App
Tap on settings at the bottom
Find Backup and select iCloud and turn on iCloud backup or sync
