Conducting high-quality clinical research helps us to keep improving NHS care by finding out which treatments work best.
In this practice, you might be asked to take part in a clinical research study. Alternatively, ask our staff about clinical studies suitable for you.
Taking part in a clinical research study is voluntary and can be a rewarding experience.

We are proud to be a well-established training practice, helping qualified doctors, known as Foundation Year 2 doctors, complete their final stages of training.
We believe that achieving and maintaining training practice status enhances the quality of the medical care that we provide at the practice. It also enables patients to see a wider range of clinicians whilst allowing the surgery to benefit from the fresh ideas and approaches brought by young enthusiastic doctors. You can of course still elect to see your chosen regular doctor but sometimes this may require you to plan your appointment.
We have been a training practice for many years and the feedback from patients regarding our registrars has been overwhelmingly positive. The doctors tend to be with the practice for four months and become an integral part of the practice team and an invaluable resource for patients.
All patients at our practice are allocated a named GP and your named GP is responsible for the co-ordination of your care. Our patients have a named GP because it offers continuity for patients but you are free to see alternative GPs of your choice if you desire. Note, we might offer an appointment with an alternative GP if we feel that their speciality is tailored towards your needs at the time or due to lack of availability. If you are unsure who your allocated GP is, please don’t hesitate to contact the surgery.
As part of the 2025/26 GP contract changes, NHS England has introduced You and Your General Practice (YYGP), also referred to as the Patient Charter.
From 1st October 2025, all GP practices are required to provide patients with access to this information.
You can read the full NHS England YYGP document here.
Translated versions are also available here.
The YYGP sets out what you, as a patient, can expect from your GP practice, alongside how you can help us to provide the best care for you and our wider community.
Please note that the Practice will provide services as per “You and your general practice” charter above, except in circumstances such as there is a lack of capacity, closures due to staff training / Practice learning events, due to unforeseen events, NHS supplied information technology failure and when we are unable to assure safe services.
What your GP practice will expect from you – To help us provide care efficiently and fairly for everyone, the guide outlines what practices ask of patients. This includes things like attending appointments on time, treating staff respectfully, and cancelling appointments you no longer need so they can be offered to someone else.
