* Character Education:
It’s a big honor for Sanguang to receive the award of Character Education Featured school by Ministry of Education. We think good character is essential so that we make great efforts to guide students proper behavior in daily life.
*Reading Education:
Sanguang has won “Best Reading Award of Junior High Schools” twice. We value students’ reading education very highly. Sanguang develop a school-based curriculum to promote students’ reading comprehension abilities and develop interests in reading. We encourage students to read by themselves, think clearly and creatively.
* Multiple student clubs:
We offer extracurricular activities with various student clubs to help students develop multiple intelligences. Both of our music clubs, namely Sanguang Chinese Orchestra and Sanguang Wind Band, have won the first prize in Nantou County music contests several times. These two music clubs also represent Nantou County to join national music contests and acquire awesome grades.
* School baseball team:
In addition to several sports clubs, Sanguang established baseball team in the 105th year of the Republic of China. Our baseball team has made outstanding achievements and has won the champion in several national youth baseball games.
*Crafts and Skills Programs:
We offer career path courses of vocational groups to ninth graders to enhance career exploration. Students who take these courses can learn the practical application of knowledge and skills. By helping students understand their own aptitudes and interests, we inspire them to be more active and positive in their career planning as well. Notably, our students have showed impressive results in Nantou County crafts and skills competitions in recent years.
