Join us for three sessions of creating items to help local organizations in our community. As a group, we will share conversations about helping others, and we will create items to be donated to local animal shelters and hospitals.

This program will include two mornings at Oliver Winch MS that will be led by faculty and staff engaging in a variety of activities to help students entering grade 6 to manage and identify anxieties, maintain relationships, establish connections and build community. Our goals are to increase student engagement, attendance, resilience and social connections. We want to help students establish and maintain emotional regulation skills, as well as familiarize them with supports in the building.

Cooking, Crafts, and Competition is an action packed, week-long, enrichment class designed to engage students in grades 6-8 in a mix of creative crafts, delicious cooking activities, and friendly, competitive "Minute to Win It" games. This program fosters creativity, teamwork, and life skills!

This summer enrichment activity enhances social-emotional learning through team-building exercises focused on cooperation, empathy, and leadership. Students will engage in problem-solving tasks that promote collaboration, decision-making, and effective communication. By the end, participants will gain confidence in their leadership abilities and improve their interpersonal skills.

Come get some summer exercise and have some fun! We will have a couple of activities/games set up each day. Some activities will be in the gymnasium, and some will take place outside, weather permitting. Examples are basketball, kickball, running, different ball games, tag games, and hopefully a water day!

Incoming students in grades 9-12 are invited to join the South High Counseling Department as we tour colleges and universities in the Syracuse area. Students will have the opportunity to explore college campuses and become familiar with what to expect during campus visits, as well as how to utilize the High School Guidance & Counseling Department as a resource for post-secondary planning.

Time: approximately 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Meals: Students may bring a bagged lunch or cash ($13) for lunch in the LeMoyne College Dining Hall. Students will also need money for dinner at a quick-stop location on the way home.
