Welcome to the exciting world of design and 3D printing! In this hands-on course, elementary students will learn how to create their own digital designs using AutoCAD, a tool used by engineers and designers all over the world. In this course, you’ll discover how scientists work with materials that are so small, we can't even see them with our eyes—everything happens at the size of tiny particles called atoms and molecules! Through hands-on activities you'll learn how tiny things can help make our world better. You’ll find out how nanotechnology is used in things like medicine, electronics, and even everyday items like sunscreen!

Join us for five sessions of learning how to knit. In this class, students will learn the basics of knitting such as casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off. Students who already know how to knit can join us to learn some advanced techniques. Materials will be provided and students will start to create a scarf during this session, and they will leave the course with a packet of basic patterns to create on their own.

This 10-session summer enrichment course introduces middle school students to the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can be used responsibly to improve their academic success. Through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and project-based learning, students will explore AI’s history, ethical considerations, and impact on society. They will learn how AI can assist with studying, creativity, and problem-solving, while also developing critical thinking skills to assess AI-generated content. Each 90-minute class will engage students in real-world AI tools, discussions on responsible usage, and fun challenges that reinforce learning. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundational understanding of AI, its benefits and limitations, and how they can use AI tools effectively while maintaining academic integrity.
