Bulldog Buddy Reading and Writing Club (Wait List)

Grade: Any student entering grades 1, 2, & 3 interested in developing, writing, researching, reading, crafting, and designing projects with a “Bulldog Buddy”! If you are looking for a new friendship this Summer and are ready for a challenge, then this is the Club for you.
Location: Moreau Elementary
Max number of students: 12 per 2-week session
Time: 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (Please have your child bring a labeled water bottle & lunch each day)

Cooking With Kids - Connecting the Kitchen to Math, Science, Reading, and Writing (Waitlist)
Teachers: Ms. Geniti and Ms. Waghorn
Grade: Students entering grades 4, & 5 will have fun while learning their way around the kitchen. We will discuss safety, hygiene, and of course food! We will learn about portion sizes, food choices, and balancing a healthy diet. Students will follow recipes as they prepare a light meal each day with a treat. We will also create a recipe book at the end of the week for students to take home.

Exploration Through Centers
Teachers: Mrs. Alden & Mrs. Frey
Grade: Any student entering grades 1 through 3 - Students will have fun participating in our Daily theme centers through hands-on learning activities. Students will explore the role we play in our global community by exploring other cultures, learning how we can make the world a better place through a visit with Hop on Home Bunny Rescue and challenge themselves with a variety of fun activities.

Tuesday: How can we make the world a better place?
Wednesday: Let's Explore Konnichiwa, Japan
Thursday: Let's Have Some Fun!
Max number of students: 20 students per session/grade level

Creative Writing
Teacher: Ms. Abrams and Mrs. Whitney
Grade: Any student entering grade 3, 4 or 5 that loves to write. Students will get to create their own informational book on a topic of choice using Book Creator, develop a personal narrative writing piece and discover the benefits of journaling, explore poetry, and learn how to use apps such as Canva with writing!
Max number of students: 15

The Art of Crafting Graphic Novels
Teacher: Mrs. Sutton & Mr. Porter
Grade: This summer enrichment course is designed for students entering grades 6, 7 & 8 who are interested in exploring their creativity through both English language arts and visual arts. Over the course of four weeks, students will engage in a variety of activities and projects that will challenge them to think creatively and develop their skills in writing, drawing, and other forms of expression.
Max number of students: 15
