Matthew J. Warner, NRP, was appointed the Emergency Medical Services Chief of Spring Grove Area Ambulance Club in July 2016. Having begun his EMS career at SGAAC as an Emergency Medical Technician, he has served the Spring Grove community for nearly two decades. Warner is credentialed as a paramedic by both the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and Pennsylvania Department of Health after graduating with honors from the Harrisburg Area Community College Paramedic program. Throughout his career, Warner has worked as a field provider and preceptor with various EMS organizations throughout South Central Pennsylvania.
Dedicated to preparing the next generation of EMS professionals, Warner serves as adjunct faculty at Harrisburg Area Community College, Shumaker Public Safety Training Center. Through his tenure, he has instructed the Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse programs. Additionally, he instructs American Heart Association CPR/AED certification programs through the community college.
Warner served as a member of the South Central Task Force Incident Management Team and deployed as a member of the South Central Task Force EMS Strike Team during the Hurricane Sandy recovery in 2012.
