The mission of SGEMS is to provide the highest quality of dependable emergency medical care and services through a team of experienced, trained, and professional providers who actively participate in the development of programs focused towards maintaining the health of the community.

hISTORY
Spring Grove Area Ambulance Club was established in July of 1967 providing Basic Life Support Emergency Services to the community. The Ambulance has always been part of the Spring Grove Fire Department. Some of the members were also employees of the famous PH Glatfelter Paper Mill and often responded from work to handle Emergencies. The Ambulance was all volunteer until the late 1990's, but over the past ten years, the Ambulance Club has developed with the times into a paid and volunteer organization. We now provide Advanced and Basic Life Emergency Services to the seven municipalities we serve. Last year we answered over 800 calls for Emergency Service and are projected with growth to answer over 1,200 calls for Emergency Service this year.
