Welcome to the Japanese National Honor Society!

Welcome to the page for the Japanese National Honor Society (JNHS)! JNHS is a student organization at our school for promoting Japanese language and cultures to our school community. We have many club activities throughout the school year, such as cooking & holiday workshops, various local volunteer services, annual parade participation for the Cherry Blossom Festival, and the exchange program with our sister schools in Japan. We also go to Japan as our club expedition program. Japanese Culture Appreciation Video

This is a compilation of the work that our members have done to stay connected with one another during the pandemic. There are three parts: art, music, and cooking, in which our members have worked together to use Japanese culture as a medium to establish connections with one another. In the art section, you will see the process of our members as they create a design with roots in Japanese culture. In the music portion, you will see and hear our members play a cover of a song. In the cooking portion, you will see how our members cook the same food, even in remote locations. This is a collaboration video with Lowell HS students (JNHS).
