Aim High Summer Jobs

Aim High is hiring staff for two different summer employment opportunities:

  • High School Interns - Open to current high school juniors and seniors, but strong candidates who are sophomores and freshmen may be considered. The priority deadline for applications is May 1, 2022.

  • Assistant Teachers - Assistant Teachers (ATs) co-teach core academic subjects and lead enrichment classes and/or afternoon activities. ATs must be college students or recent college graduates. The priority deadline for applications is May 1, 2022.

  • NEW! SF Planning Summer Internship for SFUSD High Schoolers During the internship, students will learn about San Francisco's planning history, in addition to concepts and issues relevant to planning like redlining, zoning, housing, gentrification, etc. Students will also go on field trips and site visits to help them better understand San Francisco's history and development patterns.

    • When: 6/6-8/5/2022; Deadline to apply is 5/27… apply early as it will be competitive!

  • YAX Summer Art Internships: We are currently accepting applications for our two Summer 2022 free hybrid arts intensives: ArtBUILD & 2D Public Art. This year, we are partnering with Opportunities for All, a project of the SF Mayor’s Office, to offer $1,500 stipends to students who complete the internship. Requirements:

  • Lives in San Francisco

  • MYEEP - Attending High School in Fall 2022

  • SF YouthWorks - Attending 11th or 12th Grade in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023

Deadlines:

Project Pull is a paid summer internship program that is sponsored by the City and County of San Francisco through the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). Entering its 27th summer, Project Pull provides professional mentorship to highly motivated, promising high school students from the diverse communities within San Francisco. During the eight-week program, our interns get a chance to explore careers in the "STEAM" fields by interning with a full-time City employees from various City departments. The ultimate goal of Project Pull is to expose diverse and talented students to a work environment conducive to their personal growth and to draw young citizens to the public sector and perhaps into the workforce of the City and County of San Francisco.

Afterschool Auto Shop Program Now Enrolling! Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Time: 4-5:30pm

Location: @ Washington 600 32nd Ave auto shop (halfway down the hill near Geary). Starts January 25! Students earn 5 HS credits.

Doctors On Board Program And Community Health Internship Virtual Program 2022

The Doctors On Board Program and Community Health Internship is an innovative and exciting opportunity for African American/Black, Native/Indigenous American Indian, Hispanic/Latino and underrepresented minority (URM) students who want to become medical doctors. Wheel Kids Bicycle Club After School Program

Work with Elementary and Middle Schoolers

We're hiring for:

After School Programs. M-F from 3:00 to 6:00pm; elementary school kids; ASP runs in three-week sessions,

Mountain Bike Skills Clinics. M,W 4:00 to 6:00 plus weekend rides every other Saturday; middle school kids; MTB clinic runs in six-week sessions

Eligibility for Assistant Coach position:

  • In the 11th or 12th Grade, at least 16

  • Able to obtain a Work Permit

  • love of working with kids

  • Able to ride a bike


All candidates must:

  • complete and return the Employment Application form with a resume

  • pass a background check

  • interview with Wheel Kids management.
