Promise Scholars Program
Please share that the Promise Scholars Program at Skyline Community College (and also at College of San Mateo and Canada Community College) are expanding its programs and will be accepting more students this year! Skyline alone will be accepting approximately ~450-500 students this Fall 2022! Please be sure to share the word with folx who work at high schools, community organizations, adult schools, etc. Also, the application requirements have been adjusted and students no longer have to be first-time college students. Students who have 15 units or less are now eligible for the program as well!
There is a how-to flyer here and more info below as well. For any questions, please email skylinepromise@my.smccd.edu.

UPDATE AS OF 5/20/21:
Update on UC use of SAT/ACT
All nine undergraduate campuses will not consider SAT or ACT test scores when making admissions decisions or awarding Regents and Chancellor's scholarships for fall 2022 admissions, maintaining the policy in place for fall 2021. Applicants will still be able to report SAT/ACT scores on the UC application, but those scores will only be used for the limited purposes of fulfilling the “B” (English) subject area of the A-G requirement, or for course placement or advising after students are admitted.
