This class covers: The Jr. Yuvaks class is designed to guide students through an engaging exploration of timeless wisdom and modern-day application. Rooted in the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, this course empowers students to navigate real-world modern challenges with equanimity.
Key concepts such as Dharma (righteous duty), Karma (action and consequence) and the Purpose of Life are introduced in a relatable and age-appropriate way. The curriculum also incorporates practical life skills inspired by The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey, helping students develop strong character, self-awareness, and leadership qualities.
Through interactive discussions, thought-provoking questions (like "What would they do?" vs. "What should they do?"), and multimedia content including videos and group activities, students are encouraged to think deeply, express themselves, and apply their learning to everyday situations.
This aim of the class is to both foster spiritual growth and moral reasoning but also equip students with tools for lifelong personal development and dealing with the challenges of a High Schooler.
