Physical Education Attire:
At this time, students are not permitted to use the locker rooms for changing into PE attire for class, so they must come to school dressed in clothing which will allow them to participate appropriately in class. Suggested clothing for PE class days includes tee shirts, hoodies/sweatshirts, shorts, sweat pants or yoga pants. Dresses, skirts and jeans would not allow students to easily move and participate in class so these are not considered appropriate athletic attire. Students MUST wear sneakers during class. Please note that Crocs, Uggs, and slip-on shoes such as Hey Dudes are NOT acceptable footwear during PE class. Hair that is longer than shoulder length must be secured back out of the face by a hair tie, headband or barrette as this is required for safety. Also, students are not permitted to wear anything that hangs from the body during class such as jewelry or lanyards as these can also be safety hazards. Please refer to the PE class grading section as to how not being prepared for class with appropriate PE attire will affect the student’s PE grade.
Suggested Materials for PE Class
There is a water fountain filling station in the gymnasium, so students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to class. When weather permits, classes may be held outside. Students may wish to bring an extra pair of sneakers if they are concerned about their shoes getting wet or dirty from morning dew.
Bathroom Use during PE Class
If a student needs to use the bathroom during class time, the student must ask for permission from their teacher and sign out on the clipboard located on the scoreboard table. Students will use the bathrooms located in the locker rooms and only one student is allowed in each locker room at a time.
