Want extra practice or fun educational videos to sing and dance to? Look no further! Here are a few tips and favorites of our classroom!
Letter Recognition! Use Alphabet Flash cards to practice learning Capital and Lowercase letters. You can use them like traditional flash cards, or play games with finding the letter! Whatever is your childs learning style and works best for you!
Letter Sounds: While riding in the car they have wonderful phonics songs from Jack Hartmann, Patty Shukla, and Barbara Milne. Listening to this in the car will help your child with phonics!
Counting/Number Hunts inside or outside.
Prayers: Pray with your children! Let them lead prayer before breakfast, lunch and dinner! Sunday Mass is wonderful. Even for children. I promise, a quiet church with no kids is NOT what God wants! Bring those babies to mass. I always tell them, Prayer is talking to Jesus as a friend. We can thank him, ask him for help, ask for blessings/healing anything.
Reading to your children. Reading to your children is SO influential. Even if you cannot do it every night, a few times a week, read a story to your child. It helps improve language skills, bonding, improves their imagination and creativity, and develops a life long love for reading!
Learning Videos Below!
Tracing First Name starting with first letter Capital and the rest are lowercase. Childrens hands and bones aren't fully formed at this age so any fine motor skill activity is better than forcing them to write their name perfectly. (play dough, playing in the sand or mud, kinetic sand, scissor skills etc).
