School Mass on Fridays in the Life Center(until church renovation is done) at 8:45am (unless Holy Day of Obligation it will be on certain days the calendar will reflect)
Students will nap daily from 12:15 –1:45
*Students are allowed to bring a small “lovey” stuffed animal from home to use for nap time ONLY. It must fit in their backpack. This should not be a doll or a toy they will play with. It should not be hard or make noise. If it does become a distraction, your child will no longer be allowed to bring it to school. They are also allowed to bring a small travel sized pillow for nap and blanket.
*Mat covers will be sent home every other week on Fridays. Please wash them and have them ready to be sent back to school on Monday.
*We will provide snacks for your child. (ex. Animal crackers, cheese crackers, gold fish, pretzels, fruit snack, etc) If you would like to donate any snack items to the class, please contact me via email so I can be expecting it in your child’s book sack or the front office. We have 19 students!
*We have Holiday Parties throughout the year and each child will have an opportunity to bring an item for the party. A note will go home with details a few weeks before.

CUPCAKES FOR KATIE- Every Friday our class will enjoy a special treat provided by another class in the school. Each class will be assigned to bring in 2 dozen or at least 24 snacks to share with the school twice throughout the school year. The teacher will let you know in advance what to bring and on what date. This has already been paid for in your tuition and is a sweet tradition that began several years ago for the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament! All of the funds raised is sent to them in Philadelphia at the Mother House to help with their expenses.
SPIRIT DRESS DAYS- Every Wednesday students may wear spirit shirts with school uniform bottoms. Spirit shirts may be purchased online or through the front office. We also wear these for Field Trips(blue)!
STUDENT MASS- Every Friday at 8:45am we have an all school mass hosted by different grade levels. All are invited to attend and sit in the back of the church in the family/friend seating. We do ask for safety reasons that no students leave their lines walking into and out of church to give hugs/kisses to family members. We teach they can give a smile, wave, finger wave, or blow a kiss from afar so no one gets lost in line. We look forward to celebrating together because there is truly something so sweet about our Friday masses & hearing the voices of children singing & praising God.
BIRTHDAYS- We love celebrating birthdays! When is it your child’s birthday, you may bring ONE treat for our class to enjoy. (We are NUT FREE)
Since this is likely to be your childs first experience in classroom setting, I believe that it is important to keep you informed on how your little one is adjusting to our behavior expectations throughout the year. After Labor Day, they will go home with a monthly calendar with Green or Red faces each day. Green and Red choices focus on the choice rather than the child. If I see your child has any behavior concerns I will send home an "OOPS" notice in their folder stating the red choice they made any comments.
Green Choices:
-Working Together
-Gentle Hands
-Sharing
-Working Hard
-Keep my feet and hands to myself
-use my Big Voice(my own words)
-Play with Friends
-Wait patiently for a turn
-Respectful church manners
Red Choices:
-out of control body
-not following directions or listening the first time
-mean/hurtful words
-not using soft hands(hitting or pushing)
-Breaking toys or items
-Running in the classroom/Running away from Teachers
