CHSPE - California High School Proficiency Exam
Testing out of High School - the CHSPE
The California High School Proficiency Exam or CHSPE is an exam that is the legal equivalent of a California high school diploma, recognized in most states. There are two sections - English Language Arts and Math.
To take the CHSPE, you must:
Be at least 16 years old.
Be enrolled in school.
Register on line for a date - administered three times/year - March, June and October.
Pay appropriate fees (financial aid available - see website) - register early and save money.
Remain in school until results are released.
FAST FACTS ABOUT THE CHSPE
The CHSPE is an excellent option for many students! It is an opportunity to begin college, work or any postsecondary option.
Students who pass the CHSPE pursing college, vocational or technical career training can apply and may qualify for financial aid through FAFSA.
The CHSPE is different from the GED and HiSET.
Students passing the CHSPE can participate (walk) in the Redwood Graduation ceremony.
