Academic Regalia

Please skip this section if you graduated in December 2022.

If you are NOT participating in the ceremony:

You are not obligated to submit for a regalia package. Remember to still review this site completely in case you need to submit other items (e.g. financial aid exit counseling).

If you are participating in the ceremony or simply would like your regalia:

Your regalia package includes your gown, hood, cap, and tassel. Regalia packages will ship directly to the college. The fee for regalia is included in your graduation fee, which was paid at the beginning of Spring 2023.

SCOPE Members & Active/Veteran Military Cords: If you are an active member of our military or a veteran (thank you for your service!) or if you are a member of SCOPE, you have the option to purchase cords at the same time you submit for your regalia. The cords are $9.80 each and must be paid for at the time you submit for your regalia. Cords will ship directly to the college.

**If you are a board member for SCOPE, the college will provide a cord for you.**

The deadline to order is February 15, 2023. There are absolutely NO exceptions.

Academic Regalia and SCOPE/Military Cord Pick Up

Regalia has arrived early! Please see the schedule below for your pick up date/time. You do not need to turn in your student ID badge to pick up your regalia. 

BSN = Friday, March 31st, 1pm-2pm in room 308. Please enter using the door closest to the auditorium. 
CVT = Monday, April 3rd,  2pm-2:30pm in room 309.
RNBSN = please check your email
ST = Wednesday, April 5th, 12pm-12:30pm

NOTE: If you would like another person to pick up your items for you, please email their name to registrar@sentara.edu. Unless they are a fellow student, they will need to provide photo ID. 

Announcement Ordering

Graduates can order their announcements through Balfour and have them shipped right to their home. Etiquette suggests that you ensure announcements arrive to your family and friends at least two weeks prior to the ceremony (which falls around May 6th). 

Important Note: Announcements are not an entry ticket into the ceremony.
