Uniforms
What to wear?
Each of our sections will wear the groups "Necker" (scarf) and section appropriate jumper (Beavers and Cubs) or shirt (for Scouts) which will be worn during their weekly meetings, where the badges are sewn onto. Typically our members will wear more casual bottom half for comfort.
If on a special occasion like an award ceremony, a parade or other public event navy trousers, and black shoes.
For each section there are lots of other optional accessories you can wear such as hats, hoodies, navy blue trousers or shorts.
The 1st Send Scout Group Scarf
Our Group scarf
Our Groups' necker is two tone, and is blue and gold. The gold is representative of the golden sand in which Send was named after and the blue is symbolic of the water from the River Wey that runs through Send.
The necker is given to our members once they are invested into the group.
Why is uniform important?
Wearing a uniform is comfy and practical. It means no one feels uncomfortable or left out and helps everyone feel part of the Section. It also gives you a place to show off all the badges you earn.
Where can I buy my uniform?
Uniform can either be bought from our online shop - Scout Store - or from the Woking or Guildford Scout Shops. If you’re not sure where to start, or could use a little help with uniform costs, fear not. Your Scout leader can chat to you about options. The most important thing when you first arrive is wearing something that you feel natural and comfortable in.
