What are intensives?

Intensive courses are experiential classes that involve students in a creative process that is multi-disciplinary, real-world, and hands-on. The classes are “passion projects” designed by teachers who create opportunities for students to learn experientially both inside and outside the classroom. Outings and guest speakers are a regular occurrence. Each intensive class partners with an outside organization (museum, charity, or service organization). Students learn collaboratively and through self-reflection. Intensives provide unique experiences and encourage students to make connections between theory and practice in an environment that is engaging and stimulating.
