Biography
Prem was born in Salyan district of Nepal. He earned his master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 1998. He worked as quality assurance officer in Hukam Pharmaceuticals in Bhaktapur, Nepal for one year. He then started teaching organic chemistry in different colleges in Nepal as a full time/adjunct faculty member (National School of Sciences, Kathmandu, Campion Academy, Lalitpur, Brookefield Academy, Kathmandu, and Caspian Valley college, Lalitpur) for seven years. In 2008, he earned his Master's degree in Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. A. K. Pathak and Dr. Gary E. Miracle from Western Illinois University. In 2013, he completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Professor P.V. Ramchandran from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. He then worked as postdoctoral research associate with Professor Dale L. Boger at the Scripps Research Institute from 2013-2017. He started his independent career at Department of Chemistry and Physics at Southeastern Louisiana University since August 2017.
