Lauren Robbins graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) in spring 2019 with a Bachelor of Science; her major was Integrative Biology and her minors were in Chemistry and English. At SLU, she assisted Dr. Chanda with his research on boron-mediated diastereoselective aldol reactions of substituted phenylacetates. During her time at SLU, she was co-President of the Biology Undergraduate Society (BUgS), a member of The Thirteen Club, and a member of Phi Kappa Phi. In the summer of 2020, she assisted Dr. Yingguang Liu in his research at LUCOM on using particular antiviral drug treatments for breast cancer cell lines. She is currently most interested in specializing in either Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine, but is keeping an open mind to see which specialty might be the best for her future career.

Angela Thomas is a recent Fall 2020 graduate. She pursued a double major in Biology and Chemistry. She worked on the reagent and temperature-controlled syn-selective enolboration-aldolization of substituted phenylacetates. She was the President of the Biology Undergraduate Society and treasurer for National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She worked as a tutor and an SI leader helping undergraduate students in their freshman science and math courses. She hopes to potentially work in a biomedical industry and may later pursue teaching after finishing her degree.
