Generosity and Compassion
The citizens of the town of Westford voted by Town Meeting and by a Town Election, overwhelmingly, in November of 1997, to preserve the Picking Gould Farm, now Meadowbrook Farm. The Farm has been placed in a permanent conservation trust,
and is now a “Forever 1740 Farm”.
In 2023 the citizens voted at Town Meeting, to support the “fencing and irrigation infrastructure” of the farm. Thanks to the Citizens of Westford, Meadowbrook Farm, will now produce a 120,000 pound crop, which will be distributed to food pantries, and food banks in Massachusetts.
