🟢 ADMISSION OF STUDENTS
EARLY YEARS AND PYP
Prior to entry, all students are observed by the Student Support team, class teachers, and Literacy teacher. All observers follow the admission process in collaboration with the school’s Marketing and Communication Department (MARCOMM). The results of the observations and the tests are then discussed with the PYP Principals and the Executive Principal (if needed) before final placement is determined.
Students with a specific need whose behaviour may pose a threat to their own, other students’ or staff members’ safety, and who will require ongoing support to manage this behaviour in a school setting, may not be accepted for admission. Sekolah Ciputra is not currently able to support students with these specific needs.
Students with specific academic and developmental needs, who can still be supported by the school, will be offered admission with a probationary letter. This letter is an agreement with parents, indicating their commitment to provide additional support to help the student meet the expected standards, with the student's progress to be reviewed at the end of the academic year.
Students observed online will receive a probationary letter stating that their status will be reviewed at the end of the first year based on their progress. The probationary status will be removed after the first year if it is determined that the student's academic, behavioral, and social attributes align with our school expectations.
MYP AND DP
The admissions arrangements for students with learning support fall within the usual admissions procedures for all High School students. The Principals and English Faculty, in cooperation with the school’s Marketing and Communication Department (MARCOMM), will handle admissions. They have meetings with prospective students and parents. The counsellors will be involved when needed to advise during the admission process.
Students with a disability whose behaviour may pose a threat to their own, other students’ or staff members’ safety and who require ongoing support to manage this behaviour in a school setting, may not be accepted for admission. Sekolah Ciputra is not currently able to support the students with these needs.
Sekolah Ciputra may request parents to conduct an assessment with an outside organisation first and ask for the report.
The following documents are required by the school when considering a student for admission:
The student's previous school reports
A psycho-educational assessment and/ or other specialist reports (if applicable)
Previous school counsellor record (MYP-DP)
