🟡 Differentiation
Differentiation is the support from the learning support team/ language/ cognitive/ social emotional teacher for students in collaboration with class teachers. For example, during planning, teaching and assessing students (differentiation to be discussed to meet the learning support needs).
🟡 Accommodation
The Student Support Team, in collaboration with the teachers, may differentiate the instructions, but the task will not be modified.
Withdrawal (pull out) support is the support from the learning support team/ language/ cognitive/ social emotional teacher for students outside the classroom setting. The support goal is to achieve specific learning targets using specific interventions and/or accommodation. The support for students who experience difficulty achieving grade level standards could be one-on-one academic support. This includes, but not limited to EAL support.
Coaching/consultation is the support from the learning support team/ language/ cognitive/ social emotional teacher for students to understand, reflect and solve their problems independently. This includes, but not limited to social group, counselling.
