Differentiation is the support from the learning support team/ language/ cognitive/ social emotional teacher for students in collaboration with class teachers. For example, during planning, teaching and assessing students (differentiation to be discussed to meet the learning support needs).

• The Student Support Team, in collaboration with the teachers, may differentiate the instructions, but the task will not be modified.

• Withdrawal (pull out) support is the support from the learning support team/ language/ cognitive/ social emotional teacher for students outside the classroom setting. The support goal is to achieve specific learning targets using specific interventions and/or accommodation. The support for students who experience difficulty achieving grade level standards could be one-on-one academic support. This includes, but not limited to EAL support.

• Coaching/consultation is the support from the learning support team/ language/ cognitive/ social emotional teacher for students to understand, reflect and solve their problems independently. This includes, but not limited to social group, counselling.
