STUDENT SUPPORT

Sekolah Ciputra is committed to supporting students well-being. We believe that students are individuals with unique characteristics who have the right to receive the best support possible. In order to communicate the high school counselor department's program and  support to Sekolah Ciputra community and wider community, this site is created.  Sekolah Ciputra High School counselors focus on three important areas of the students’ lives: academic and future careers preparation, personal, social and emotional development in a global perspective domain to prepare students of Sekolah Ciputra to have integrity and resilience in a changing global society.

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

In our collaboration with students, parents and teachers, we understand that one needs to be socially and emotionally developed as they are to participate in their community or wider. The ability to regulate emotions as well as to be socially connected and collaborate with others are key to participate in this changing world. In preparing our students to enter their global participation, Sekolah Ciputra developed the SEAL programme as part of the student support continuum programme.

SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) is a school continuum approach to address and promote social and emotional skills that will impact a students learning experience. This approach is adapted from the UK SEAL national approach, CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning), and IB ATL skills (Approaches To Learning). There are five main aspects addressed in this programme, self and social awareness, effective self-management, relationship skills and responsible behaviour.

Making a decision for a university and career pathway might be challenging, therefore one of our counseling programmes focuses on assisting students with their university plan.

Starting from Grade 7, we build career awareness in students by helping them understand their values and goals in life. Starting in Grade 9, students will have their own university-plan online account to assist them in building portfolios for their university applications.

To better support students in their university preparation journey, starting grade 9, each student is given an access to create a BridgeU account.

BridgeU is a platform that helps students explore over 26,000 global universities and discover bespoke university and course recommendations that align with their target grades and personal preferences. The platform is also used to support students in sending documents for the application process.
