WarriorMUN XI is a conference that appeals to both novice delegates and debate-hardened veterans of Model UN. Naturally, the committees geared towards beginners will be somewhat more relaxed in nature, while more advanced committees will be much more intensive in nature. However, all committees will be small, engaging and offer their delegates a challenging experience.
Dress code for Model United Nations conferences is Western Business Attire. Delegates should wear clothing that is comfortable and professional. Here are some suggestions!
Ideally, delegates can wear:
A dress shirt/ blouse
Dress trousers/ skirt (skirt should be just above the knee)
A suit coat/ blazer (optional)
A professional dress (should be at least knee length and not strapless)
Dress socks/ nylons
A tie or bow tie

For all committee members, old and new, it would be ideal to bring:
-A copy of the briefing paper from their Committees
-Some additional lined paper for notes and drafting resolutions
-A pen or pencil for drafting and writing resolutions. (optional)
Although paper and pens will be provided, it never hurts to have extra! Delegates are NOT permitted to have tablets or laptops in committee.
Note- passing is an important part of any committee because it allows delegates to communicate with each other without interrupting the flow of parliamentary procedure. When writing a note, make sure to clearly label it:
To: Country/Delegate You Are Passing Note To
From: Your Country Name
Above all, keep notes appropriate and on topic- they are a tool to help you during committee!
Resolutions in Model UN are made up of Preambulatory and Operative Clauses. More information can be found HERE.
