Short Story Writing Contest
Short Story Writing Contest
In March and April of 2026, the HMS Library invited students to participate in our Short Story Writing Contest. Students were encouraged to write an original story that related to their grade's prompt: connecting found peace to bodies of water, tall trees, and storms.
Every story submitted was imaginative, inspiring, and adventurous. Each judge was completely impressed with the originality and hard work each student put into their story. That said, three winners were selected for each grade. Click here to read those stories!
