The Toolbox is a compilation of methods and activities aimed at assisting youth workers and organisations in promoting active youth participation and encouraging positive dialogue around mental health issues.
The Good Practices included were chosen according to the results from the survey conducted in October 2023.
The objective is to engage young people in meaningful, appealing non-formal learning (NFL) activities while strengthening connections within local communities.
The Toolbox includes eight methods for engaging with young people, complete with easy-to-follow, step-by-step descriptions and necessary resources.
Each method can be used independently as a standalone activity or integrated into a broader strategic approach in youth work. Combining multiple activities can help create a long-lasting connection between organisations and young people in the community.
By using this Toolbox, you can create engaging and impactful youth work activities that promote active participation, mental health awareness, and community building both locally and internationally!
The Storytelling Cards can be used during the Storytelling activity.
During the initial stages of the activity, participants are instructed to select a card from designated categories: the hero, setting, time period, character traits, conflict, resolution, and conclusion.
These cards can support participants' creativity and be a guide for the storytelling process.
