Fifth Grade students will study general science; exploring Earth and Space Science, Physical Science and Life Science with opportunities to practice engineering and design principles during each unit of study. They will conduct investigations, build models and learn to evaluate and communicate their findings in each of these investigations. The FOSS Science ™ program aligns with Next Generation Science Standards and provides students with a solid foundation as they transition to Middle School science concepts. I live in Dover Foxcroft with my husband, my youngest child, and my two dogs. My oldest son lives in Bangor and my middle son attends Husson University, commuting between home and school on the weekends. I have been a teacher since 1995 and LOVE what I do. Since becoming a teacher, I have taught almost every grade from Pre-K- grade 6. This is my 5th year at SEDO and I am very excited to get to know all of you!
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and seeing other parts of the country. In addition to travel, some of my favorite hobbies include reading, taking walks, and working on projects around my home. I love learning about the land and finding new ways to reuse and up-cycle things in our world.
