Conscious Awakening
This piece was an ink pen work which I drew somewhat spontaneously. The gist of the composition was a meltdown from reality, in which the plane of reality with the eyeballs cave into a vortex of a dream. The closure of the eyes are supposed to represent the descent from the wide-eyed world of wakefulness into the dreamlike state of slumber.
Eye Can See
A simple charcoal sketch of a somewhat abstract eye. Since I am rather interested in creating semi-surreal artwork, I felt that this composition gave a biological and organic feel to a simple eyeball.

Inktober
Back in the day, I used to religiously complete the annual Inktober challenge, which allowed my inkpen skills to bloom exponentially. Although I do not quite draw as much nowadays (let alone inkpen drawings), I still refer to my Inktober concepts a lot for my current work.
Charcoal
A fundamental sketching practise, here are some charcoal pieces from one of my university's many art courses as well as from high school art lessons.
