General Information:
Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) is responsible for archiving student permanent records of former HSDOE students.
Per district policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), student records are only available to those with authorization from the student or parent/ guardian, if the student is under 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent.
The Department does not provide duplicates or copies of diplomas. Once the original diploma is awarded, students can request a copy of the high school transcript from their alma mater that reflects the graduation date and the diploma number or a diploma verification letter can be requested.
