Class of 2026 Seniors applying to college for the 2026-27 school year should complete the 2026-27 FAFSA which will be available online on October 1, 2025 at https://studentaid.gov/. The parent section of the 2026-27 FAFSA will require information from 2024 tax returns. Click here for a list of information and documents needed to complete the FAFSA.

Some colleges will also require the CSS Profile to apply for financial aid. Check the financial aid requirements of the colleges you are applying to.
Both the student and one parent will need to create an FSA ID in order to submit the FAFSA. Use this Tip Sheet to create your FSA ID and save your username and password. Save the tip sheet in a safe location in case you need to refer to it.
