Due to COVID-19 many colleges and universities may remain test optional for Fall 2023 admissions. Please check your college's website for current admissions information. Test center locations are limited and cancellations/changes may occur due to COVID-19. If you decide to register for an exam, check the SAT or ACT website and your e-mails regularly for any last minute changes.
Did you know?
ACT and SAT scores are not only used for admission, but is often used for placement into college-level courses.
Almost every college or university that requires a test for admission will accept either ACT or SAT.
If a college or university requires subject tests, that is SAT only.
You can get up to 2 ACT and 2 SAT fee-waivers. Fee-waivers available starting in Grade 11. Visit the CCC for a fee waiver eligibility form to request a fee waiver (11th and 12th grade only).
Fee-waivers cover the essay, and it is recommended that you take the essay each time in case you decide to apply to a college that requires it.
Most colleges require your test scores to be officially sent through your SAT or ACT account.
