ORIENTATION

This module helped us in stepping out of our comfort zones and allowing us to explore new creative possibilities. With charcoal we were encouraged to draw our dreams. In this we experimented, made mistakes, discovered unique techniques and learned how to go beyond boundaries. We were then initially grouped based on our interests and strengths. As we progressed, we transitioned from these sketches into creating distinct forms. 

While building the form we acquired a lot of knowledge about various materials and their strengths. After selecting the materials we started building large scale grotesque insects. During this process we learnt about tessellations and its uses and also how scale is important to make the structure stable. this module, being the first, helped us to get to know everyone and learn each other's strength.
