I hail from sunny Southern California born to a military family.
I've lived in Mississippi and Cuba as a child before I came back to California. My three years in Cuba is where I fell in love with The Merenge, Cha-Cha, and the Salsa.Â
I began dancing at age three. I was uncoordinated as a toddler and I fell down a lot, so my mother thought dance would help. Neither of us knew what a big journey I'd be on and how much of an impact dance would have on my life.
As a preteen, I trained at my home studio on a scholarship program granted by my mentor, the late, Jocelyn K. Wilson. I trained at any and every convention that was available and competed in all styles of dance, ballet, jazz, and lyrical being my favorite.
I've been teaching for twenty three years, I have been the Director and Choreographer for Unity Dance Ensemble's apprentice company, Unity 2 for ten years.
My Professional Televised choreography credits include:
"Strictly come Dancing" season three in China where I lived for three months.
"Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition" season two in LA on Lifetime Network and I'm represented by MSA agency.
