NATIONAL RESIDENCE
HALL HONORARY
WHAT IS NRHH?
The National Residence Hall Honorary is a leadership-based honorary comprised of exemplary residential students who value recognition and service.
The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is the premiere honorary supported by the leading international organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development. NRHH strives to provide recognition for individuals who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing. It ensures the advancement of member chapters through resource sharing, programming, and leadership development opportunities to contribute and support the vision of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Any residential student is able to nominate themselves or be nominated by a current member. However, due to the honorary-based nature of NRHH, membership is excluded to the top 1% of leaders on campus, meaning that there are often more applicants than spaces available.
HOW TO JOIN
During the Fall semester, residential students are able to nominate themselves via an application provided to them by the executive officers of SDSU's chapter of NRHH. During the Spring Semester, residential students must be nominated by a current member of NRHH. If you are offered membership, you will be required to attend an induction ceremony, followed by weekly general body meetings.
WHAT NRHH DOES
At its core, NRHH's values are recognition and service. As an organization, SDSU's chapter of NRHH does the following:
"Of the Month" and "Of the Year" nominations to recognize outstanding student leaders, residential staff, programming, and more!
Programming (i.e.: annually hosts "Resident Appreciation Week") in the Residence Halls and in surrounding areas
Hosts an end of the year banquet to recognize the work of hall and community councils
Assists the Residence Hall Association (RHA) in programming and advocacy efforts in the residential communities
