San Diego Cooperative Charter School
As the volunteer organization for SDCCS, the Parent Staff Association provides a forum for parents, caregivers and staff to come together and plan community-building events, fundraisers, and enrichment opportunities for the students and community.
All family members and guardians are automatically members of the PSA. There are 3 main ways to particpate in PSA:
CONNECT Come together in community at our monthly Coffee + Convos right after drop-off or join our monthly PSA Meeting from 3:30-5pm! Both are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
VOLUNTEER Our co-op school runs on volunteers! Much of our landscaping, campus maintenance, in-class centers and more depend on regular parent participation. SDCCS highly encourages you to be on campus as much as you can!
DONATE Your generous donations directly impact students and staff. PSA fundraising flows into classrooms as direct teacher grants, snacks for students + coffee for staff; it funds specialty projects, in-class supplies and SO MUCH MORE!
We ask every family to give what they can and if possible, consider sponsoring a family in need. We are a Title I school which means our community includes a high percentage of low-income families.
Attention all new and returning families!
Complete our Volunteer Form to sign-up for events this year.
More volunteer opportunities and information will be emailed via Parent Square throughout the year.
We have options for every interest, talent, and availability. Our amazing cooperative school is fueled by the time and commitment of our families.
Throughout the year we have restaurant fundraisers where we eat a selected spot and the PSA receives a portion of the sales. Hope to see you at the next one!
Jog-a-thon is one of our most fun and successful fundraisers of the year. In addition to earning money, moving our bodies, and having fun, the top-earning classrooms also compete in an annual teacher tricycle race.
Several times throughout the year our community comes together to celebrate the learning and growth of our students. As a constructivist child-centered school, this is a great opportunity to see and celebrate the engaging ways our students learn.
Every 3rd Tuesday, 8am-9am we CONNECT in community at Convos + Coffee. This is a great opportunity to find out about events, learn about volunteer opportunities, and meet other co-op parents and family members.
