There is strength in numbers and this fundraising strategy proves it!
We are using the power of small, repeated actions, over time, to breathe new life into PSA. Instead of concession sales, volunteer intensive events and sales drives that go to big companies (instead of our school) we have decided to make it SIMPLE + STRAIGHTFORWARD: give what you can and put it on repeat.
By repeating the donation over time, even small amounts add up to large sums. Sustained donations paired with a quota shows us exactly how many families it takes to reach our goals!
But these numbers mean NOTHING without YOU!
We need every family that is able to participate. SDCCS is a Title 1 school, meaning we serve a significant low-income population. For some families it is not feasible to give. We understand and deeply respect that. We also hold our convictions in the power of the cooperative model. Our co-op knows if one family needs help, we rise to lift them up. We are the Rising Phoenixes, after all!
We want giving to feel easy, even effortless. You have enough going on with your children: school, sports, not to mention WORK! We know you VALUE the unique experience and opportunities SDCCS provides. We know you WANT to get on campus to support the community, support the teachers and most importantly support your students.
We also know you are busy and sometimes life gets in the way. We know you deserve to rest + recharge. We want your support for SDCCS to be the easiest and most fulfilling actions you can take.
Would an automated subscription make your life easier? If you knew there were fewer demands on your time and you were encouraged to focus more fully on your student and their experience, how would you value that shift? What if you knew making the PHOENIX PLEDGE meant more money going right into your child's classroom, meant more improvements on campus and more teacher time focusing on students rather than fundraising? How much could you spare to accomplish those goals? If other families shared your vision and hope, how much could we accomplish in community?
The next step to building a NEW vision for SDCCS starts with MAKING THE PHOENIX PLEDGE!!
Choose the tier that best aligns with you. Every tier creates a powerful gift to the PSA general fund!
The tiers are based on a goal of reaching $40,000 over 10 months. PSA values contributions at every level!
We need the following support at EACH tier to reach our goal! The more we rasie, we more we fund!
JUST 10 FAMILIES at $100/month = $10,000
20 Families at $50/month = $10,000
40 Families at $25/month = $10,000
100 Families at JUST $10/month = $10,000
PSA fundraising supports the PSA budget. We pass the budget each year in August at a General Meeting of PSA Members (that's YOU by the way! All parents + guardians and staff are members.) Here is a breakdown of how funds are spent.
Students benefit from the bulk of PSA money! PSA provides a $1k guaranteed teacher grant for all classroom + specials teachers which is typically spent on classroom supplies, teaching aids and enhanced curriculum. PSA also supports counseling services, SPED, MTSS, Garden, Chickens, Yearbook, Co-Op Times and more!
PSA provides support funds for Peace Day, Fall Festival, Project + Specials Nights, Graduation + more.
These events bring the community together and reinforce the co-op ethos. Money well spent!
Part of the PSA mission is to support staff. They work so hard and we value their efforts so deeply. It's not nearly what they deserve but we do the best we can! PSA funds a Back To School Gift, Coffee + Snack supplies throughout the year and a yearly Staff Appreciation Week and Luncheon.
