Braille Year book

Fourth and fifth grade EAST students wanted to create a 3D and braille yearbook for a student with visual impairments. He will be graduating from 5th grade and has never had a yearbook. They collaborated with a Vision Specialist to determine size. She also is brailling student messages. Students used the Structure Sensor Camera to scan classmates and teachers. After the scanning, a group of students converted the scans into images to 3D print. Other students created the yearbook cover and made a Google Form to collect messages from classmates and staff. The last group is creating the name labels in touchsee.me.

This is an example of a finished 3D scan of a student. Mario will be able to feel what his classmates "look' like.

This is what the scan looks like before it is downloaded in Tinkercad and then converted to G Code.
