The curriculum is based off of the Illinois State Board of Education Music Standards. The objectives of this course will be to create, connect, respond, and perform in the musical setting. Each unit in this semester incorporates one or more of those objectives!

Classwork is 30% of the final grade and projects/assessments will be 70% of the final grade.
Listening Logs/Bellringers - Classwork
Students will complete a bellringer every day in class. They will also occasionally complete listening logs in which they will write about the characteristics of different songs.
Additional Assignments - Classwork
Throughout our units, students will be asked to do additional assignments during class. There are intended to be completed during class, if not finished they are homework.
Tests - Assessment
Formative and summative assessments are used to track student learning in Music class.
Final Products of Units - Assessment
At the end of some units, students will have a final product to turn in and/or share with the class. These final products differ for each unit.
