what I found about my topic (Oliver twist) is Oliver twist is about an orphan boy whose good heart helps him escape the terrible underworld of crime and poverty in 19th century London. Oliver twist was published through 1837-1839. its a classic because when Charles dickens began writing Oliver twist after the adoption of the poor law of 1834,which halted government payments to the able-bodied poor unless they entered workhouses. though Oliver twist became a vehicle for social criticism aimed directly at the problem of poverty in 19th century London.

The theme in Great Expectations was about the struggle of social classes but the most common theme is about poverty in other books made by Charles.
Some people might say that The Haunted Man and The Ghost Bargain by Charles Dickens is a forgotten Christmas tale. This was the fifth and last book Charles Dickens wrote about Christmas. He published this book in 1848. It has a similar ghostly plot as A Christmas Carol. This book is considered a classic.
