Homework Policy

Students will occasionally be assigned homework in art. This will include idea development and skill building tasks not completed during class; and "field work", which usually involves searching for a source (photo, story, word, etc) to use during the planning stages of art making. Students are expected to have homework/field work ready to submit on due dates. Late work is accepted up until one week after the unit has concluded. Late work is noted in the grade book, but affects only the Student Skills Standard evaluation related to "Activity Completion". All other Standards will be evaluated without penalty, as if the work was submitted on time. It is more important to complete the work late, than not at all.
